International Ground Ambulance Repatriations
Our clients are international travel insurance companies, most of the UK’s medical assistance companies, European assistance companies, many international Air Ambulance companies and a number of private hospitals both in the UK & abroad.
All our repatriation ambulances have been custom designed and built specifically to facilitate a long-distance journey and guarantee patient comfort, including free Wi-Fi, special pressure relief mattresses and cushions, refreshments and USB chargers.
We have special pricing with Eurotunnel as we pre-purchase tickets in bulk. We also have preferential client status with them. All our Eurotunnel tickets (even for single-day return trips) are FlexiPlus, which gives us the flexibility and priority required for these transfers. We will always get priority at either terminal no matter what other issues Eurotunnel might be experiencing.
Airside Air Ambulance Services
We provide approved and fully insured airport airside patient transport services. Staffed by experienced clinicians with Emergency Blue Light driving capability. All vehicles are fully kitted with standard ambulance emergency equipment, including AED, BVM, Suction Units, Oxygen (2 x HX Cylinders), Full Cardiac monitoring equipment, grab bags, etc.
Commercial Flight Transfers
For patients using commercial flights home, we will collect from any UK commercial airport. On arrival we will meet and greet at arrivals and assist with wheelchairs, luggage and even a bit of essential food shopping if required. Our staff will ensure a safe and comfortable arrival at home or liaise with hospital staff to ensure a safe handover.
Other Patient Services
Our NHS Patient Transport Service staff all have a minimum of a First Responder Emergency Care Level 3 (FREC 3) qualification. This enables us to deliver the best possible quality of health care, onboard ambulance care, nursing needs, compassion and safety.
We provide safe transport for self-pay and insured private healthcare patients throughout the UK and Europe and work in partnership with embassies and private UK hospitals.
Other private patient services include transfers to care homes, hospices and residential care homes. We also provide paediatric and bariatric transfers, bed admission assistance, and medical escort services on commercial flights and can arrange air ambulance transfers.
High-Dependency Unit Transport
Our ambulance fleet is equipped to A&E standards. All vehicles are fitted with AED, adult, paediatric and neonatal patient monitoring, suction units, ventilators and all other standard ambulance kits.
Our specialist staff are trained to GMC, NMC, HCPC & IHCD qualifications and standards. We can provide emergency blue-light-qualified ambulance drivers.
Event Medical Cover
Hearts First Ambulance provides corporate VIP medical and transport support and event medical cover on special request. This can include any type of event such as airport pickups, relocations, charity events, social & corporate events and medical transfers. We are proud to have supported events such as the Queen Elizabeth II state funeral, MoonWalk London, Shine Night Walk London and the annual Soccer Aid event.
